Directions: Going west into Murrysville on Rt. 22 past Applebee’s, turn right at the first light onto Cline Hollow Road just before the Rite Aid. Follow Cline Hollow Road 1.7 miles to Hills Church Road. Turn left and continue on Hills Church Road 0.4 miles to where you’ll bear straight ahead onto Weistertown Road. Continue straight ahead 1.1 miles and turn right into the wetlands parking lot.
Description: Sue Miller is hosting a presentation on Coyotes by Denton Schellhammer of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He will discuss the lifestyle and habits of Coyotes within suburban communities. Afterwards, Sue will share a short summary of bird species which reside and migrate through Murrysville Community Park. Then she will show a close-up view of the adorable feathered purple martin nestlings.
A self-guided tour will be set up on the wetlands loop trail of bird photos and facts that you can walk at your leisure after the event or any time in the next 2 weeks. Highlighted will be 58 bird species identified in the park last year on the Spring Migration Count Day by Eric Hall, Delia White, and Sue Miller. It’s a sample of the 111 species that have been identified in the park.
